Data Engineer

Summary

Join STX Group's Technology Team in Amsterdam as a proactive, analytical, and ambitious Data Engineer. You will contribute to improving data solutions, designing and building scalable ETL pipelines and a cloud-based data platform, implementing data quality validation, and assisting the BI team with automated reporting. This role requires 5+ years of experience in data engineering, proficiency in Python and SQL, strong interpersonal skills, and experience with CI/CD pipelines and AWS solutions. The position offers the opportunity to work with offices across Amsterdam, Sweden, Singapore, and the US, supporting our mission of creating effective decarbonization strategies for our clients. Requirements

• 5+ years’ work experience in Data Engineering roles or similar including a completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Python & SQL experience is essential
• Strong interpersonal skills to work in a team-based environment with a high degree of autonomy to complete tasks
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and implementing improvements to our current data solutions
• Design, build and improve robust and scalable ETL pipelines and a cloud-based data platform
• Introduce automated data quality validation, monitoring and alerts to ensure high levels of reliability and accuracy of our data storages
• Assist our BI team by designing and introducing a structured approach to creating automated reporting in a scalable way
• Work with a variety of data sources to enhance internal data using third party solutions and APIs

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with various AWS solutions, working with data warehouses
• Experience with Kafka, Docker and Airflow
