Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Commercial Insurance required
  • 5+ years leadership experience managing and mentoring a data team
  • Expert knowledge using Azure Cloud, SQL, Azure Data Lake, and Power BI
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Systems Analytics, or extensive relative experience in a similar role
  • Proven oversight of data modeling and establishing performance metrics
  • Ability to think strategically and can demonstrate an understanding of the underlying complexities within data strategy
  • Advanced data management, quality assurance and data stewardship
  • Highly collaborative, practical problem solver, and roll up your sleeves attitude
  • Flexible and adaptable to drive change and implement new solutions

Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide the efforts of the team being hands-on daily using your technical expertise and experience
  • Own and manage the data warehouse with a strategy that will provide consistent, clean, and integrated data
  • Navigate unstructured and big data; determine its format, security, ownership, and quality
  • Define the roadmap for AI, being a thought leader in this space
  • Provide business intelligence to senior leaders, internal/external stakeholders, and have direct vendor management oversight
  • Partner on new ideas and initiatives, and executes rapid development of new data and analytic projects
  • Proactively identify pain points that Analytics & Actuarial face with our existing data models and provide solutions
  • Collaborates with other areas to develop standards and best practices for research, analysis, data engineering and machine learning

  • $180,000 to $225,000 base salary plus bonus. Salary commensurate with knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location
