Summary
Join Data Ideology as a Consultant in Data Governance and assist clients in establishing, implementing, and enhancing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. You will provide hands-on support in data lifecycle management, data security, and risk management. Requirements
- Possess a Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Have 2-4 years of experience in data governance, data security, risk management, or cybersecurity consulting
- Demonstrate a foundational understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK) and best practices for data management
- Possess basic knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their implications on data governance
- Exhibit strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, including data policies, standards, and practices
- Assist in data lifecycle management efforts, ensuring data is created, stored, maintained, and disposed of effectively and securely
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data security initiatives, emphasizing the protection of sensitive information
- Identify and document data risks, developing strategies to mitigate vulnerabilities in line with client goals
- Contribute to cybersecurity efforts by working with internal and client security teams to align governance policies with broader security objectives
Preferred Qualifications
Possess relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, CISA, CISSP, or similar)
