Summary

The job description is for a 12-month contract position as a Data Integrations Consultant at Modern Campus. The role involves managing data integrations between Modern Campus' solutions and clients' Student Information Systems, establishing and maintaining a deep understanding of Modern Campus software, performing end-to-end data mappings, documenting business rules, creating user stories for integration plug-ins, troubleshooting integration configuration issues, and providing client support until project completion.

Requirements

• University degree or College diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology and/or relevant work experience
• 3+ years of experience in a Data Integration role
• 2+ years experience in end of end data mapping desired on integration projects
• Previous experience in higher education
• Strong knowledge of Student Information Systems
• Critical thinker with proven success in providing solutions to solve business issues
• Self-motivated, high energy, results oriented contributor who thrives in a fast-paced setting
• Data oriented approach to problem solving with strong critical thinking skills
• Extremely organized with strong time management and prioritization skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for scheduling, scope confirmation, documentation and delivering and/or receiving materials of integration projects from clients
• Establish and maintain a deep understanding of Modern Campus software and professional services offerings
• Work with clients to perform end-to-end data mappings between Modern Campus products and the client’s SIS, building a data dictionary
• Document client business rules applicable to the SIS environment
• Determine the synchronous/asynchronous communication relationship between the SIS and Modern Campus application
• Drive data discovery efforts and creation of the data dictionary that defines the client’s customized environment and all data requirements between systems
• Create user stories based on data discovery efforts for engineer to build integration plug-in
• Troubleshoots integration configuration, SQL, CSV, XML, JSON data as anticipatory measures for data and communication impediments
• Guide clients using a change control process to minimize project scope creep
• Performs pretest, creates test plan for user acceptance testing for the client, and reviews and documents testing errors and process
• Provide clients with data cleansing opportunities as a result of the data discovery process
• Responsible for serving as a resource answering questions related to the client projects
• Provide client support until activation and completion of the project

• The salary range for this full-time position is between $60,000 - $100,000
