Data Intern

Summary

Join the Analytics & Data Engineering team at 1Password to contribute to various projects, design robust ETL processes, and build tools for improving company-wide productivity with data. This is a remote opportunity within Canada, full-time (40 hours per week) position that will run for 4 months - January to April 2025.

Requirements

• Technical skills: Proficiency in SQL and data modeling
• Experience with collaboration tools such as Git/Gitlab/Github
• Confidence: A willingness to take on new challenges, and see them through to completion
• Humility: You're not afraid to ask 'stupid' questions and make mistakes (as long as you learn from them)
• Curiosity: You look for better ways of doing things, even if everyone seems happy with how they are
• Teamwork: We work together, and succeed as a team!

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with analysts, data engineering, and business partners to explore and ingest new data sources and build data pipelines using SQL/python and Big Data technologies
• Ensure that our data transformation processes are appropriately tested
• Build data expertise and leverage data controls to ensure privacy, security, compliance, data quality, and operations
• Explore and learn the latest data infrastructure technologies to provide new capabilities and increase efficiencies
• Create and maintain production data pipelines via automation, alerting/notifications on warnings/failures, and resolving issues promptly
