Join McColm & Company, a mission-driven consulting firm, as an instructor for the 2026 Professional Development Training Course (PDTC) for Navy Chaplains and Religious Program Specialists. This annual event focuses on "Building Spiritual Readiness through Assessment" and involves developing curriculum, course materials, and delivering training at multiple sites. The training will cover data analytics, leveraging DON platforms, and transforming data into actionable insights. You will collaborate with other instructors and Navy personnel to develop and deliver engaging training materials that meet IACET standards. The role requires expertise in data analytics, adult learning principles, and experience in relevant contexts. Successful candidates will possess strong communication and pedagogical skills.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of current data analytics trends, with an ability to connect technical concepts to mission-oriented organizations
- Engaging and effective communication and pedagogical skills that inspire students while learning data analytics
- Ability to link course subject-matter on data analytics with the Chaplain Corps' Religious Ministry Analytics Tool (RMAT)
- Demonstrated understanding of institutional ministry in a pluralistic environment
- Demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design
- Proficiency in writing and speaking the English Language
- Ability to travel to multiple on-site trainings, both CONUS and OCONUS
- Ability to favorably pass public trust investigation

Responsibilities
- Together with two other Instructors, Government, and Contractor staff, iteratively and collaboratively develop curriculum that meets technical requirements, and the objectives noted above
- Attend and actively participate in in-person walk through of the curriculum, carefully noting areas to adjust training content
- Attend and actively participate in in-person validation of the curriculum, carefully noting areas to adjust training content
- Communicate with co-developers, Contractor staff, and Navy personnel in a timely manner
- Deliver approved training materials in person at multiple CONUS and OCONUS sites between January and June 2026
Preferred Qualifications
- Masterโs degree or higher in field related to ministry or data science strongly preferred (education, theology, data science, public administration, organizational leadership)
- Experience working within or adjacent to Navy Chaplain Corps or other military or institutional contexts (healthcare, corrections) strongly preferred
- Experience delivering adult learning programs focused on data literacy, data value, analytic integrity, performance evaluation, or strategic transformation in complex organizations
- Experience advising senior leaders on interpreting data tied to wellness, risk, or mission outcomes, particularly in high-accountability or mission-driven environments
- Experience of cross-functional collaboration across operational and religious support units, with an understanding of both the technical and interpersonal dynamics of chaplaincy contexts
- Proficiency in functional or organizational domains as well as multiple data programming languages preferred
