Summary

The job is for a Data Science Intern at Moloco, a fast-growing machine learning company. The intern will work on improving the ad-tech stack, conducting deep-dive analysis, designing optimization approaches, and more. The position requires active enrollment in a technical or quantitative degree program and availability to work from Redwood City, CA during the summer of 2025.

Requirements

• Able and willing to work from Moloco's Redwood City, CA office
• Available to work during the summer of 2025 (May through September)
• By the start of the internship, actively enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD program in a technical or quantitative discipline
• Candidates pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree must be graduating and obtaining the degree by June of 2026

Responsibilities

• Drive performance improvement and cost efficiency in Moloco's product through a deep understanding of the ML and infra system
• Provide data-driven insights and scientific solutions
• Design and deploy advanced optimization approaches to improve ad-delivery
• Conduct deep-dive analysis to influence R&D decisions and strategies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL, Python and/or R coding languages
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time while paying attention to detail and translate analysis results into business recommendations
• Ability to work independently, owning projects end-to-end, solving problems without much guidance

Benefits

• Base Compensation Range: $8,200 — $10,000 USD
