Requirements
- A minimum of 3+ years of demonstrable professional experience in a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or a closely related quantitative role
- Proven track record of applying analytical techniques to solve real-world problems
- Experience working with large, diverse datasets and contributing to data-driven projects
- Exceptional ability to dissect complex business problems and develop data-driven solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and quality
- Proficiency in Python (including Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn) and/or R
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL
- Familiarity with database concepts and schemas
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts, including hypothesis testing and regression analysis
- Hands-on experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms
- Demonstrated experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, ggplot2) and/or business intelligence tools
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
Responsibilities
- Data Collection, Cleaning, and Preprocessing
- Systematically gather, clean, and preprocess large datasets from diverse sources
- Implement robust data wrangling techniques, including handling missing values and outliers
- Transform raw data into an optimized format for analysis and modeling
- Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and Hypothesis Testing
- Conduct thorough exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies
- Apply statistical tools to validate hypotheses and derive actionable conclusions
- Translate raw data into meaningful observations to guide strategic choices
- Machine Learning Model Development and Implementation
- Collaborate to design, develop, train, and fine-tune machine learning models
- Assist in implementing and deploying models into production environments
- Design and execute experiments to test model performance and optimize hyperparameters
- Data Visualization and Reporting
- Create clear, compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and reports
- Communicate complex findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Translate technical results into actionable recommendations
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work with data engineers to define data requirements and construct data pipelines
- Engage with cross-functional teams to understand challenges and integrate data insights
- Proactively participate in team meetings and present project progress
- Contribution to Data Strategy and Best Practices
- Contribute to the establishment and promotion of best practices in data quality and model reproducibility
- Identify and propose opportunities for automation and optimization of data processes
