Data Scientist

We're seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join either our Core Data Science or Creation Engine Team. You'll collaborate cross-functionally, analyze user behavior, develop new tools and techniques, and design maintainable frameworks. This role requires 10+ years of experience in a relevant field, fluency in SQL, proficiency in Python or R, and a strong understanding of statistical methods. Requirements

• 10 + years relevant work experience in Analytics, Data Science or Software Engineering
• Fluency in SQL
• Proficiency in Python, R, or a similar scripting language
• Experience in distributed data processing systems and framework (Hive, Redshift, Presto, Snowflake, Spark, etc)
• Firm knowledge of statistical methods and experimental design
• Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills
• A self-starting mindset along with strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally to understand existing problems and identify areas of impact for your team
• Understand user behavior within Figma through creation of new datasets, metrics, experimentation, etc and guide decision making
• Develop new techniques, datasets , tools that will enable answering previously unanswered questions and increasing rigor of analyses
• Design and maintain frameworks that are widely leveraged across the company
• Establish partnerships with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Research, Design, Sales, and Marketing
