Data Scientist

Summary

Join Movable Ink's Applied AI and Machine Learning team as a Data Scientist and contribute to optimizing their Da Vinci Personalization product. You will run A/B tests, analyze data to identify improvement opportunities, and assist client-facing teams in resolving issues. This role involves deep dives into data, creating reports, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. A Master's degree in statistics or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required, along with strong statistical foundations, SQL proficiency, and some programming skills. A collaborative spirit and a desire for continuous learning are also essential.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in statistics or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
• Solid foundations in statistics and online controlled experiments (a/b testing)
• High comfort level with SQL, reporting tools such as Looker/Google Sheets
• Some programming skill (e.g. in Python) to be able to reason about logic in code

Responsibilities

• Run a/b tests for our DaVinci personalization product and own the reporting for their business outcomes
• Determine and conduct deep dives as necessary to understand the behavior of our recommender models and to identify opportunities for improving our system
• Help customer-facing teams and our clients resolve issues that come up during tests and answer questions about how to optimize setups within an SLA
• Create write-ups of investigations that can be presented to internal and external stakeholders
