Join Wealthsimple's FACT (Fraud, AML, and CrediT) Data Science & Engineering team as a Data Scientist! You will design and execute product experiments, build and improve machine learning pipelines, and translate experimental results into impactful products. This role requires expertise in experimental design, predictive modeling, and software engineering. You'll collaborate with various teams and contribute to key product decisions. Requirements

• Experience in complex experimental design (A/B tests, factorial design)
• Experience in building end-to-end productionized machine learning pipelines
• Strong technical skills in coding (SQL & Python) and statistical methods
• Comfortable with software engineering best practices such as unit testing and version control
• Experience with machine learning feature engineering
• Results-driven: keeping things as simple as possible to achieve the product goals
• Curiosity: willing to dive deep into product strategies and business context
• Able to build and maintain multi-functional relationships with various teams across the business

Responsibilities

• Design and execute product experiments to help improve Wealthsimple’s client experience
• Productionize and make continuous improvements to some of Wealthsimple’s flagship machine learning models
• Build a repository of machine learning features to support a variety of advanced analytics tasks across the business
• Translate experimental results into products and solutions
• Ensure models are well tested, documented and maintained
• Believe that simple is better, Occam's razor is your friend
• Take ownership and ship it; release incrementally and iteratively
• Teach and learn from your teammates. We value making others successful

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in the risk management domain is a plus
