Data Scientist - GCP Python, SQL

Summary

Join a team of data specialists at ConnectOS, Australia's largest independent publishing business, as a Data Scientist. Lead the development of predictive models and advanced analytics to understand user behavior and content trends. Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, reporting tools, and dashboards. Requirements

• 5+ years in data science, with a strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, and data manipulation
• 2+ years in a leadership or team lead role
• Advanced proficiency in Python , R , and SQL
• Skilled with Tableau , Power BI , or Looker Studio
• Familiarity with ETL pipelines and data warehousing concepts
• Experience with Jupyter Notebooks , Git , and Agile workflows
• Excellent communication skills—you can explain complex insights to anyone
• Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Applied Math, or a related field
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including: BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, Google Colab, Looker Studio, Analytics 360, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ad Manager, Apache Airflow, Databricks
• Data modeling and database design, including partitioning strategies for large tables
• GCP security, monitoring, and maintenance
