Join our team as a motivated Data Scientist passionate about driving results with a creative approach to problem-solving! You will provide data-driven insights using advanced statistical and modeling techniques, developing and communicating models. Responsibilities include assuring project data integrity, analyzing data with standard statistical methods, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to a dynamic team environment. This role requires 2+ years of hands-on data science experience, preferably in FinTech or financial services, an advanced degree in a quantitative field, and proficiency in statistical modeling and data analysis using R or Python. The ideal candidate will also possess strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in data science, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in the FinTech or financial services industry
  • Advanced degree (master’s or PhD) in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Economics or a related quantitative field
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling and data analysis using R or Python, with solid experience working with large datasets and writing complex SQL queries
  • Experience with building predictive models using statistical/machine learning techniques
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional departments including Sales, Sales Ops, Product, Marketing, Credit etc. to understand business context and solve problems
  • A self-starter mindset with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Assure the integrity of project data, including data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing, and analysis
  • Analyze data with standard statistical methods, interpret the results, and provide both written and verbal summaries and recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, design solutions, and implement initiatives that enhance production pipeline efficiency
  • Contribute in a dynamic, team-oriented environment that values your perspective, supports your growth, and encourages innovation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus
  • Experience working in Databricks or similar cloud-based analytics environments is a plus
  • Strong verbal / written communication skills
