This role requires 2+ years of hands-on data science experience, preferably in FinTech or financial services, an advanced degree in a quantitative field, and proficiency in statistical modeling and data analysis using R or Python. The ideal candidate will also possess strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in data science, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in the FinTech or financial services industry
- Advanced degree (masterβs or PhD) in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Economics or a related quantitative field
- Proficiency in statistical modeling and data analysis using R or Python, with solid experience working with large datasets and writing complex SQL queries
- Experience with building predictive models using statistical/machine learning techniques
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional departments including Sales, Sales Ops, Product, Marketing, Credit etc. to understand business context and solve problems
- A self-starter mindset with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Responsibilities
- Assure the integrity of project data, including data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing, and analysis
- Analyze data with standard statistical methods, interpret the results, and provide both written and verbal summaries and recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, design solutions, and implement initiatives that enhance production pipeline efficiency
- Contribute in a dynamic, team-oriented environment that values your perspective, supports your growth, and encourages innovation
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus
- Experience working in Databricks or similar cloud-based analytics environments is a plus
- Strong verbal / written communication skills
