Summary
Join Qventus, a healthcare transformation leader, as a driven data leader to architect and curate our growing data assets. You will build out our proprietary Qventus Unified Data Model, metrics, and other solution data marts. This hands-on role involves translating product vision into executable data products, influencing both foundational data strategies and product-specific implementations. You will work directly with the Senior Director of data, supporting and leading the rapid growth and development of our solution data marts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage data assets through their lifecycle, and ensure data infrastructure and models are robust and reliable. Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to act as a product owner for data, rigorously refining loose or abstract product concepts—such as complex metrics or analytics definitions—into executable and domain-relevant data requirements, leveraging a deep understanding of analytics, client needs, and the industry to ensure clarity and alignment
- Robust aptitude for interpreting complex datasets, including the ability to discern underlying patterns, identify anomalies, and design meaningful insights, demonstrating advanced data intuition and analytical skills
- 4+ years experience as an engineer in a data role (data engineering, data platform, machine learning engineering, analytics engineering etc.) incl. familiarity with data modeling techniques and tools (e.g., DBT, Databricks Unity Catalogue) and modern Data Warehouses (eg. Snowflake, Databricks)
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to lead conversations, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive projects to completion by aligning stakeholders, managing timelines, and ensuring clear and actionable documentation of complex data assets and requirements
Responsibilities
- Translate product asks ranging from complex analytical metrics to new application functionality into clear data definitions and requirements in partnership with data engineering leads and managers
- Coordinate and manage the acquisition, assessment, & integration of new datasets, collaborating closely with data experts & our data modeling lead to unpack the data and relevance to our core products and domain
- Assist in the design and optimization of documentation and knowledge-sharing processes for data marts, ensuring transparency and accessibility for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Provide hands-on support for core data initiatives as needed, including reviewing code, writing scripts, or contributing to technical tasks to ensure successful delivery of high-priority projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in the healthcare domain and familiarity with domain data-specific challenges such as codes/terminology (e.g. CPT, ICD), compliance (HIPAA), and interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR)
- Experience working with data governance frameworks or tools to ensure compliance and consistency across data assets
- Proficiency with knowledge management systems (e.g., Notion) to organize documentation and foster team-wide transparency
- Familiarity with managing or designing dataset lifecycles, including acquisition, validation, integration, and ongoing maintenance to ensure datasets remain accurate, relevant, and aligned with evolving business needs
- Experience with data visualization tools and analytics technologies (Looker, Tableau, Sigma etc.)
