Data Warehouse Analyst in United States

Summary

The job is for a remote position requiring at least 5 years of experience in Data Warehouse project environments. The candidate should have SQL proficiency and skills in data visualization-reporting tools, developing test data, and facilitating customer requirements gathering meetings. They must be independent workers with strong communication skills.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience working as a Data Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or Business Analyst in a Data Warehouse project environment
• 5+ years’ experience working with end users/customers to understand system and business issues and perform technical analysis to develop requirements and solutions
• 5+ years’ experience with SQL; Teradata SQL Assistant, MS SQL Server including understanding of data warehousing definition concepts like Tables, Views, Stored procedures and macros, MLOAD, BTQ, SQLA, Indexing, Joins, Sub queries, Volatile/temp tables, and Datatypes related to the tables
• Experience in teams that support applications that have their source as a Data warehouse
• Understanding of data visualization-reporting tools
• 3+ years’ experience developing test data and test scenarios
• Ability to facilitate customer requirements gathering meetings/sessions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with leading project work, providing direction for team members
• Experience with Data Modeling/Database Design
• Experience with Court applications or relevant court experience
• Experience with JAD and Agile IT Development methodologies
• Ability to clearly communicate with users for clarification and elaboration as may be necessary to clearly define a problem and conceptualize a development plan
• Recognize, gather, correlate, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems, and devise solutions and alternatives and make appropriate recommendations
• Working with developers, facilitate modification of the logical design to create a physical design most suited to the reporting needs of the customer
• Ability to design applications taking into consideration data reconciliation, (to the source system) query/reporting performance, and analytical business value
• Experience with BI Query
• Experience with Data Cleansing
• Experience with Data Governance
