Join TradeCentric as a Database Architect to design, optimize, secure, and maintain database schema and infrastructure for enterprise-class SaaS operations. You will ensure high security, availability, and scalability of databases, implement security best practices and compliance policies, and develop disaster recovery strategies. Responsibilities include monitoring and performance tuning, query optimization, cloud database migrations, automation scripting, and collaboration with engineering teams. The ideal candidate possesses 7-9 years of database administration experience in a SaaS environment, expertise in MariaDB/MySQL, and a strong understanding of database security and compliance. Requirements
- Be an effective communicator, positive team player, and natural collaborator
- Have 7-9 years of database administration experience in a Saas environment
- Have expertise in MariaDB/MySQL on Amazon RDS and/or Google Cloud SQL, and ElasticSearch
- Have a deep understanding and application of database security best practices, encryption, access control, and compliance requirements including GDPR
- Have experience implementing reliable backup, restore, and disaster recovery
- Have a proven track record of optimizing complex queries, indexing strategies, and caching mechanisms
- Have the ability to assist in the design of scalable and efficient database schemas
- Have experience in establishing database monitoring tools and processes
- Have experience in automation and infrastructure scripting using Python, Bash, or Terraform
- Have experience supporting or working with data pipeline architectures
- Have experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize database schema and performance, ensuring high security, availability, and scalability
- Implement and enforce database security and integrity best practices, access controls, and compliance policies such as GDPR and PCI-DSS
- Develop, test, and maintain backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies for business continuity
- Set up and manage database monitoring tools, proactively addressing performance bottlenecks
- Proactively analyze and optimize queries to enhance performance and reduce system load and collaborate
- Research, plan, and execute cloud database migrations between leading platforms including Amazon RDS and Google Cloud SQL
- Develop automation scripts for database maintenance, monitoring, and infrastructure provisioning
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable, efficient, and well-structured databases, and to optimize query and transaction processing
- Guide and support development of data pipelines and ETL processes
- Work with developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to align database strategies with business needs
Preferred Qualifications
Have a Bachelorβs Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
