Database Developer Data Engineering

You will be responsible for developing and optimizing database solutions, engineering data pipelines, and transforming data into actionable insights. This role requires strong SQL Server expertise, ETL/ELT pipeline development, and experience with version control. You will also need to be a proactive communicator and comfortable working in evolving project scopes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server (SSMS, T-SQL, performance tuning)
• ETL/ELT pipeline development
• Strong experience debugging and optimizing complex SQL queries
• Version control (Git or equivalent) for database code
• Primarily Back-End Data Engineering
• Comfortable working across data platforms and enterprise-level database systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Proactive communicator and self-starter
• Comfortable working in loosely defined project scopes with evolving requirements
• Clear and concise written documentation
• Effective communicator in remote/hybrid environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google BigQuery (SQL dialect, partitioning, clustering, optimization)
• Knowledge of GCP data services (Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Functions)
• Familiarity with data ingestion tools/patterns between on-prem SQL Server and GCP
• Experience migrating databases from SQL Server to GCP
