Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server (SSMS, T-SQL, performance tuning)
  • ETL/ELT pipeline development
  • Strong experience debugging and optimizing complex SQL queries
  • Version control (Git or equivalent) for database code
  • Primarily Back-End Data Engineering
  • Comfortable working across data platforms and enterprise-level database systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Proactive communicator and self-starter
  • Comfortable working in loosely defined project scopes with evolving requirements
  • Clear and concise written documentation
  • Effective communicator in remote/hybrid environments

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize database solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google BigQuery (SQL dialect, partitioning, clustering, optimization)
  • Knowledge of GCP data services (Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Functions)
  • Familiarity with data ingestion tools/patterns between on-prem SQL Server and GCP
  • Experience migrating databases from SQL Server to GCP
