Database Engineer

Summary

Join Jalasoft as a Database Engineer and provide exceptional client support by directly engaging with clients to understand their database needs. You will optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and deliver tailored solutions. This role requires at least 3 years of experience in providing database solutions and support. The ideal candidate is proactive, committed, and collaborates effectively with technical clients. You will leverage your expertise in MySQL and database design to create and maintain high-quality solutions. Remote work, 13 floating holidays, and 15 vacation days are offered.

Requirements

• Advanced experience with MySQL (queries, views, stored procedures, etc.)
• Strong technical skills in database design, systems configuration, and data modeling
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Familiarity with repository tools (e.g., Bitbucket, Git)
• Ability to work with business requirements and align technical solutions accordingly
• Good communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
• Proactive, with a strong work ethic and a team-oriented attitude
• Quick learner, willing to adapt and grow in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Provide support for MySQL database solutions, including queries, views, and stored procedures
• Collaborate with clients to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Design, configure, and model databases based on business needs
• Manage relationships with technical clients, ensuring seamless communication and support

Preferred Qualifications

• Back-end development experience, QA experience or Automation experience
• Basic knowledge of ETL processes
• Familiarity with Linux fundamentals
• Experience with AWS S3 or similar cloud storage solutions
• Basic scripting knowledge in Python
• Experience with Jenkins and Databricks
