Databricks Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Data Analytic Engineer at True Zero Technologies. The candidate will maintain Databricks instances and receive access to the company's knowledge base and technical support. They must have Databricks certification, 3+ years of active production experience, knowledge of lifecycle management, big data pipeline optimization, DB schema design, DevOps, Agile organizations, root cause analysis, excellent communication skills, and U.S. citizenship. Preferred qualifications include Syslog daemon configuration principles, cloud experience, Splunk Enterprise Experience, development and API experience, SaltStack, Ansible, Cribl experience, Git experience, and hardware and storage experience.

Requirements

• Must have Databricks Professional Certification
• Experience maintaining and administering enterprise Databricks implementations
• 3+ years of Databricks experience in active production environment
• Experience with common operating systems [e.g. Windows, Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)]
• Experience with data ingest and data processing techniques
• Experience with multi-node clustering architecture, development, implementation, and health monitoring of the system
• Knowledge of lifecycle management implementations
• Experience building and optimizing big data data pipelines, architectures and data sets
• Knowledge of Model and Design of DB schemas for read and write performance
• Experience working in DevOps and Agile organizations
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
• Excellent written and oral skills, ability to work closely with multiple customers, manage expectations, and track engagement scope
• U.S. Citizenship is required as this is in support of a Federal Customer

Responsibilities

Maintain various clients' Databricks instances with a heavy emphasis on data on-boarding, migration from legacy systems, content development, configuration, troubleshooting, reporting, and visualizations

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Syslog daemon configuration principles, ideally in Syslog-NG and RSyslog configurations
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Splunk Enterprise Experience
• Development and API experience (Python, Perl, XML)
• SaltStack, Ansible, and other enterprise automation tool experience
• Hardware experience and storage experience (SAN, NAS, etc.)
• Git experience (GitHub & GitLab)
