Join CALSTART as a Deputy Director to lead the administration of the Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) for the California Air Resources Board (CARB). You will oversee program strategy, team management, execution, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, communications, and budget management. The ideal candidate possesses 8+ years of experience in program management or a related field, expertise in clean transportation, strong leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities. - Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Energy, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day management of HVIP, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with CARB requirements
- Oversee program policies, processes, and reporting to maximize impact and efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance program accessibility and effectiveness
- Collaborate with CARB and key stakeholders to align HVIP with California’s clean transportation objectives
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with CARB, manufacturers, fleet operators, and other key partners
- Represent CALSTART and HVIP in public forums, industry conferences, and stakeholder meetings
- Oversee outreach and education efforts to promote program awareness and participation
- Lead and mentor a team managing program operations, policy development, and stakeholder engagement
- Ensure program budget aligns with funding requirements and delivers maximum impact
- Oversee data tracking, analysis, and reporting to CARB and other stakeholders
