Summary
Join Highsnobiety as a Deputy Editor and contribute to shaping our brand's editorial voice. You will work closely with the Editor-in-Chief to commission and edit content across various platforms, manage editorial workflows, and maintain a high standard of editorial excellence. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in media, strong editing skills, and a passion for fashion, style, and culture. Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in media
- Proficient line and copy editor with a sharp eye for grammar, tone, and style
- Ability to edit text of all length, including features, daily news, social media captions, and headlines
- High level of interest in and enthusiasm for the worlds of fashion, style and culture
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the US
Responsibilities
- Commissioning and editing mid- and long-form features for all platforms, including Highsnobiety.com, all social channels, the Highsnobiety app, newsletter, White Papers, and any other form of editorial programming
- Managing a schedule and workflow for features, liaising between departments to see ideas through every step from conception to publication
- Top editing and/or line editing all text for tone, clarity, voice and POV
- Supporting the editor-in-chief in the development of new editorial programming, including columns, newsletters, podcasts and other new initiatives
- Maintaining a roster of freelance writers, columnists and other content talent who contribute across platforms
- Ensuring a high standard for editorial excellence is maintained across the website, social media channels, app, newsletter, and all other channels
