Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in engineering or similar applicable work experience
- Some prior experience (including academic and internship experience) designing and drafting utilizing AutoCAD
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems
- A passion for multi-disciplinary design, integrating design consideration from civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural engineering disciplines
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to be both creative and analytical
- Detail-oriented and accurate
- Efficient time management β handle multiple projects simultaneously and with minimal supervision including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines
Responsibilities
- Create sheet sets and perform design work for multiple engineering disciplines supporting renewable energy and substation projects
- Acquire knowledge of renewable energy system layouts and components such as modules, racking, inverters, and Balance of Systems (BOS)
- Perform design tasks on small projects or portions of larger projects
- Apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment
- Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes
- Work under the direction of more senior staff
- Receives close supervision on all aspects of assignments
- Receives a thorough review of completed work for application of sound professional judgment
- Perform essential duties including meeting deliverables and deadlines
- Perform additional duties as assigned or directed
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of solar PV systems design is a plus
