Design & Release Engineer

Summary

Join ALTEN México, a subsidiary of the ALTEN Group, a leading multinational in engineering and technology consulting, as a Design and Release Engineer (Audio). This role involves supervising and managing the development of automotive radio and infotainment systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges, communicate with suppliers, and ensure successful implementation of technological solutions. The position requires designing and validating audio components, managing component releases, creating technical documentation, collaborating with suppliers, supporting manufacturing and quality, integrating systems, conducting testing and validation, providing post-launch support, and attending meetings and reporting. Experience with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, root cause analysis, CAE/CFD simulation, agile methodologies, plastic injection processes, and automotive regulations is essential. Requirements

• Knowledge of Apple CarPlay / Android Auto integration with audio systems
• Experience with root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys)
• Experience with CAE/CFD simulation (for thermal dissipation in amps)
• Experience with agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum)
• Knowledge of plastic injection processes (audio housings)
• Familiarity with automotive regulations (EMC, NVH)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop audio components such as amplifiers, speakers, and associated wiring
• Manage component releases
• Develop and review technical documentation including DFMEA, DVP&R, BOMs, and technical specifications
• Collaborate with suppliers
• Support manufacturing and quality
• Integrate infotainment systems (radio, screens, connectivity) and vehicle networks (CAN/LIN, Bluetooth, USB)
• Conduct testing and validation
• Provide post-launch support
• Attend meetings and prepare reports
