Summary

The job is for a Designer supporting the Creative and Marketing teams of a luxury beauty client in New York City. The role requires retail experience, 3D knowledge, proficiency in SketchUp and Adobe Suite, and strong graphic, architectural design, communication, and organizational skills. The role operates in a hybrid model with some onsite work at the client's location in midtown Manhattan.

Requirements

Retail in-store, on/in-counter experience doing tester unit design & layouts as well as schematics, duratrans etc
Ideally knowledge of 3D
A keen eye for beauty and fashion is essential
Strong graphically and have abilities and understanding of architectural design
Proficient in SketchUp and Adobe essential
Degree in architecture
4 + years of solid, store, and fixture design experience, in retail, preferably in beauty

Responsibilities

Provides support to the Creative and Marketing teams
Develops graphics, architectural drawings, 3D renders, and presentation boards
Contributes and works well within a collaborative team
Manages multiple projects and priorities in a timely manner
Maintains a sense of urgency when needed and juggles priorities to meet deadlines
Aids in the creation, development, adaptation, and execution of new design efforts
Develops 3D renderings and design intent drawings for internal meetings, vendors, and stores for local execution
Builds print-ready files for direct submission to print vendors for prototypes
Maintains working calendars and timelines to ensure the timely rollout of all materials
Keeps files organized on servers for easy retrieval
Maintains brand consistency throughout all touch points
Able to professionally prepare files for production link files, and follow file naming and storage protocols
Stays up to date with industry developments and tools
Functions well within a fast-paced, always-evolving environment

Preferred Qualifications

Retail merchandising experience, a plus
