Developer Advocate, AI & Blockchain Lead

Join Hashgraph as the AI & Blockchain Lead - Developer Advocate and lead innovation at the intersection of AI and blockchain. This role focuses on integrating AI technologies into blockchain applications and exploring how blockchain can enhance AI solutions. You will collaborate with Hedera’s core teams to define and execute a roadmap for AI and blockchain integration. You'll empower developers, foster key partnerships, and promote the adoption of cutting-edge AI and blockchain solutions. This position requires a forward-thinking technical leader with a deep understanding of AI and blockchain. You will be responsible for building and driving an AI-focused developer roadmap, championing AI and blockchain integration, and driving internal AI adoption.

Requirements

• Cross-disciplinary leadership: Experience in leading cross-functional teams, particularly between AI, blockchain, and product engineering teams
• Product development experience: Demonstrated ability to define and execute on product roadmaps, especially for developer tools or platform services in emerging technologies
• Blockchain expertise: Proficiency in Solidity and experience developing smart contracts on Ethereum or other EVM-compatible blockchains (e.g., Polygon, Binance Smart Chain)
• AI integration experience: Familiarity with integrating AI/ML models or APIs (e.g., OpenAI, TensorFlow, Hugging Face) into applications
• Web3 tooling: Strong experience with blockchain developer tools like Hardhat, Ethers.js, OpenZeppelin, Remix, etc
• Architecture skills: Strong understanding of blockchain protocols, decentralized architecture, and how AI can enhance dApps
• Data-driven decision making: Ability to leverage data and market insights to drive product development and ecosystem initiatives

Responsibilities

• Build and drive an AI-focused developer roadmap: Define and execute a strategy for AI-enabled developer tools and services within the Hedera ecosystem
• Champion AI and blockchain integration: Advocate for and guide developers in integrating AI capabilities (e.g., machine learning models, AI APIs) into decentralized Hedera applications
• Enable AI infrastructure: Drive the development and adoption of AI-focused infrastructure and dev tools solutions on Hedera
• Drive internal AI adoption: Work with Hedera’s internal teams to integrate AI technologies into core platform offerings and ensure the seamless adoption of AI-enhanced services
• Collaborate with ecosystem partners: Act as a technical liaison between Hedera and key ecosystem partners (e.g., AI API providers, tooling vendors, and enterprise developers) to drive co-development opportunities and ensure successful integrations
• Drive adoption of tools and services: Work with partners and internal teams to build, launch, and evangelize developer tooling and infrastructure solutions that enable AI-powered dApps and services
• Gather market insights: Identify developer needs, trends, and pain points within the AI and blockchain ecosystems, translating insights into actionable product requirements and ecosystem initiatives
• Serve as a smart contract and AI expert: Help developers design and deploy smart contracts using Solidity and EVM-compatible tools while exploring use cases for AI-driven dApps
• Shape the developer experience: Contribute to Hedera Improvement Proposals (HIPs) that enhance the developer experience
• Engage with developer communities: Support and inspire blockchain and AI developers across social media, Discord, GitHub, conferences, hackathons, and other community channels
• Advocate for Hedera: Represent Hedera at conferences, showcasing innovative use cases in DeFi, AI, and dApp development

Preferred Qualifications

• Hedera experience: Familiarity with Hedera native services, such as the Hedera Token Service (HTS) and Hedera Consensus Service (HCS)
• Open source contributions: Active involvement in blockchain or AI-focused open-source projects and communities
• Strategic mindset: An entrepreneurial approach to identifying gaps in the developer ecosystem and proposing innovative solutions
• Technical writing and communication: Experience writing technical blog posts, creating tutorials, and presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Public speaking: Strong ability to inspire developers through talks, live demos, and interactive sessions at blockchain and AI events
