Summary

Join Panopto as a Developer, Backend - Video Pipeline, and build the interface components powering our video library and backend APIs. You'll create core experiences and design front-end architecture. This early-career position requires 1-3 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Responsibilities include backend and frontend software engineering, detailed work, and on-call rotation. Requirements

• 1-3 years experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience/training
• Computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, parallel or distributed systems
• Software engineering skills: componentization, automated testing, debugging, and coding/designing for fault tolerance
• Experience working on complex projects in a professional environment, preferably with a focus on C# development
• Experience with version control systems, preferably git
• Clear and concise communication skills

Responsibilities

• Create the interface components that power Panopto’s video library functionality and their backend supporting APIs
• Build new core experiences
• Design the front-end architectural cornerstones that will support our user interfaces through their next stage of evolution
• Backend and Frontend Software Engineering: This position requires a mix of backend and frontend software engineering skills, drawing on experience coding and doing technical designs in high scale systems
• Participate in our on-call rotation and respond to alerts outside of normal business hours when on-call

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile software development methodologies
• Experience with video processing libraries such as FFmpeg or DirectShow
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
• Experience with backend systems running at a high-scale
• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience in frontend technologies: Javascript and/or Typescript, HTML, CSS
