Summary

Join our team as a Tax Developer I, a remote position requiring a full-stack developer with about one year of professional experience. You will troubleshoot and fix automated scripts, work on maintenance and new enhancements, learn our tax product and code base, and perform SQL queries. A recent AS or BS in IT or one year of experience is needed, along with C#, SQL, and Javascript skills. Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. Additional knowledge of software development processes, testing methodologies, and payroll tax is beneficial.

Requirements

  • A recent AS or BS degree in an IT related field, or 1 year of professional experience
  • Ability to pass basic level C# and SQL coding exercise
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, external suppliers, and customers
  • Attention to detail, and a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Languages Required: C#, SQL, Javascript

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and fixing web automated scripts
  • Working on a maintenance queue of work
  • Working on new enhancements through sprints
  • Learn the product and code base of the Tax Team
  • Perform SQL queries as needed for debugging, research, and custom reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of software development processes and project management
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and quality assurance principles
  • Knowledge of payroll and payroll tax
