Development Support DevOps Engineer

Summary

Join Altium, a company transforming electronics design and building, as a DevOps Engineer to contribute to the development of Altium 365, a cloud platform for electronics design. You will be responsible for building and optimizing CI/CD processes, deploying and scaling application services, and mentoring team members. This role requires extensive experience in DevOps/SRE, Linux/Windows systems, Kubernetes, AWS infrastructure, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). You will also need strong understanding of software development lifecycle, microservice architecture, and experience with monitoring tools like NewRelic. Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps / SRE environment
• 6+ years of experience working with Linux, Windows systems
• Strong understanding and knowledge of Kubernetes
• Strong understanding and knowledge of cloud infrastructure components such as AWS (EC2,EKS, RDS, Opensearch, S3, Storage, Route53 and network appliances
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as a Code approach (Terraform preferred)
• Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle
• Good understanding of microservice architecture
• Good experience in Monitoring k8s clusters, APM, services and infrastructure located in AWS (NewRelic)
• Ability to create automation tools in Go, Python, Bash, Powershell
• Familiarity with Continuous Delivery tools used with microservices

• Have clear and solid relationships with software development departments
• Plan and document work and projects
• Build and continuously optimize CI/CD process and streamline automation effort for server provisioning and applications deployment
• Build a resilient and scalable service infrastructure to accommodate regions
• Deploy, monitor and scale application services
• Mentor team members and drive knowledge sharing
• Participate in project management and on-going strategic planning

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience architecting and securing cloud networking such as VPC peering, Transit Gateways, subnet, and security groups (nice to have)
• Working knowledge of Jenkins, GitLab or alternative Continuous Integration systems
• Understanding of Active Directory, DNS and Domain (nice to have)
• Coding Experience
