Summary

The job involves ensuring adherence to SLAs, leading on urgent issues, documenting system configurations, collaborating with development engineering, deploying and supporting applications on cloud environments, and designing, implementing, and testing infrastructures. The ideal candidate should have a BS degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or similar, at least 8 years of experience, knowledge of various tools and databases, advanced scripting experience, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or similar relevant field
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience in professional industry
  • Working on tools like Jenkins, Azure, App Center Cloud Formation, Terraform, Ansible, Subversion, Docker, or relevant
  • Knowledge of both RDBMS and NoSQL data platforms such as MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Redis, and Elasticsearch
  • Using Windows Servers on VMWare, IIS, MSSQL, MongoDB
  • Advanced level scripting experience (Python, Ruby, Bash, Powershell)
  • Strong experience with Linux distributions (Rhel 8, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Amazon Linux)
  • Experience working embedded with development teams, helping them automate/optimize
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring adherence to the SLAs as per contract
  • Taking the lead on urgent issues and projects
  • Documenting system configuration, processes, and tools used by the team
  • Working collaboratively with development engineering to create and deploy a CI/CD infrastructure
  • Developing and implementing environments for quality assurance, development, etc
  • Deploying and Supporting applications on cloud environment
  • Responsible for infrastructure security
  • Providing direct server support during various operations such as deployment and general production
  • Collaborating with developers to make sure new environments meet requirements and conform to best practices
  • Designing, implementing and testing agreed-upon infrastructures
  • Automating deployment of Linux applications, system configurations, and security settings
