Summary

The position requires 10+ years of experience in architecting, developing, and troubleshooting internet-scale distributed systems on AWS, with 5+ years in cloud environments and 2+ years in team management.

Requirements

  • 10+ year of experience architecting, developing, and troubleshooting internet-scale, production-grade distributed systems
  • 5+ year of experience in cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud with the focus on selecting appropriate tools to tackle the business problem at the right scale
  • 2+ years experience in managing a technical team
  • Great verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills in English
  • Some experience in software development in one or more languages such as Java, Python, PHP, Go, or Rust; as well as shell scripting
  • Experience with networking, e.g. TCP/ItP, routing, network topologies, and VPN
  • Experience with Linux operating systems administration and internals such as filesystems, system calls

Responsibilities

  • Build, Lead and manage a strong team of Cloud Architects that will help our customers to build and architect production grade cloud systems
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • Collaborate with customers development teams, architects, operations teams and leadership to design and architect highly scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions on the AWS platform and other clouds
  • Mentor and coach team members, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations to drive career development and growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, security, and business stakeholders, to drive the adoption of cloud solutions
  • Identify and resolve performance and availability issues with customers
  • Help customers monitor and optimize resource utilization to minimize costs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with container technologies, e.g. Kubernetes - an advantage
  • AWS Certified Professional Solution Architect an Advantage
