Summary
Join Climate Arc, a philanthropic organization accelerating corporate climate transitions, as a driven DevOps Engineer. You will support the design, build, and maintenance of our data warehouse, collaborating with our Research and Program team and stakeholders. Responsibilities include creating automated build and deployment capabilities, setting up infrastructure and application monitoring, and implementing infrastructure as code. You will also investigate technical issues, foster collaboration, track API performance metrics, and manage user/group rights and permissions. Requirements
- Experience of cloud computing, e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP (preferred)
- Infrastructure as Code (terraform)
- Scripting skills, e.g. bash, python and automation skills
- Knowledge of containerization concepts, Kubernetes
- Security, DevSecOps knowledge, as well as monitoring and logging solutions
- Experience with at least one of Java, Python (preferred), Node.js
- Basic database skills & SQL
Responsibilities
- Creation of automated build and deployment capabilities for products under development
- Responsible for setting up infrastructure & application monitoring
- Responsible for infrastructure as code in collaboration with the wider Data management team
- Aids in the investigation of infrastructure technical issues
- Build and foster a culture of collaboration and cross functional support
- Get hands-on with implementation either solo or as part of the Data management team
- Track API performance metrics and work to improve the stability, scalability, and availability of the APIs
- Setup & maintain best enterprise patterns for managing user/group rights and permissions across our cloud infrastructure vendors & other critical 3rd party services

- Continuous integration and GitLab experience
