Requirements

• Possess a deep understanding of packet core network (GGSN, P-GW, SMF, UPF)
• Have specialized knowledge of Networking & Routing – IP, IP/MPLS, BGP, etc
• Possess a deep understanding of packet core network roaming interconnection (IPX, DRA/DEA, Firewalls)
• Have a very good understanding and knowledge of the architecture and call flows of ePC and 5GC (focus on 5GSA)
• Have practical experience with integration and configuration of the main EPC nodes to access-network (roaming) and surrounding systems (AAA, OCS, PCRF, etc)
• Have several years of experience with DevOps, cloud and CI/CD tools
• Have good knowledge of microservice architecture and cloud-based applications and databases
• Possess practical (testing, troubleshooting) knowledge of the above-mentioned technologies
• Have automation tools for configuration and testing knowhow or willingness to possess such knowledge
• Be able to work in close cooperation with cross-functional teams
• Have very good skills in English (writing and speaking)
• Have experience to work with standardization documentation (ITU-T, 3GPP, IETF)
• Be willing to take over organizational work as Solution designer
• Have very good experience in classic and agile forms of cooperation
• Have experience in scripting/programming
• Demonstrate team orientation

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the design and planning of requested changes
• Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams including network architects and operation teams to align DevOps processes with business objectives
• Ensure low latency, high throughput and scalability of Packet-Core components by optimizing resources and configurations
• Integrate and maintain packet core network nodes dedicated for IoT traffic (P-GW, GGSN, CSGN, SMF, UPF, etc)
• Work with cloud-native functions / containerized solutions to plan, deploy and manage 5G Core Network CNFs
• Develop scripts and automation tools to optimize workflows including provisioning, configuration, monitoring and scaling of network functions
• Be responsible for administration, engineering and operation of Packet Core Network
• Provide technical support for internal and sometimes external customers for e.g. consulting and troubleshooting
• Be part of the Central Packet Gateway DevOps team, where you are responsible for the change from the start with design through the detailed planning until the end of implementation in live network, troubleshoot and fix in case something goes wrong
• Drive the improvement of the planning/operational/testing aspects (automation) for the Packet Core Network
