Summary

Join Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions as a DevOps Engineer and contribute to the maintenance and operation of enterprise tools. You will be responsible for setting up components, integrating interfaces, executing tasks from the backlog, and participating in daily team calls. Troubleshooting incidents, handling support tickets, and assisting users are key aspects of this role. You will also integrate data sources, develop predictive analytics models, and analyze time-series data. Additional responsibilities include writing operational manuals, monitoring system health, conducting root cause analyses, and ensuring adherence to security standards. The position requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in the following areas: Computer science, Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent work experience in IT
  • 3+ years of DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering experience
  • Experience with OpenShift 4.x
  • Experience with Linux/RHEL
  • Experience with developing operators using Python and Golang
  • Experience with Helm Charts and ArgoCD
  • Experience with Splunk
  • Experience with Grafana
  • Strong communication skills and excellent written and verbal communication competences in English language

Responsibilities

  • Planning is managed using a backlog tool
  • Change requests related to the listed tools, submitted by customers or internal teams
  • At first, the main task will be to set up all components and integrate the interfaces in an automated way
  • The role involves executing tasks from the backlog, actively participating in daily team calls, and maintaining, operating, and debugging a range of enterprise tools
  • Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving incidents and changes, handling support tickets, and assisting users with application-related issues
  • The position also requires integrating data sources into dashboards and log archives, developing and applying predictive analytics models, and analyzing time-series data for forecasting
  • Additional duties include writing and maintaining operational manuals and runbooks, monitoring the health and performance of systems, conducting root cause analyses for recurring problems, and ensuring adherence to internal security and operational standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • German is a plus
  • Knowledge in agile
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Familiarity with database management tools and monitoring solutions
  • Ability to work in a team and in a dynamic environment
  • Problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • High personal commitment to taking over hotlines / on-call duties
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence
