Summary

Join Frontify's team as a DevOps Engineer and contribute to maintaining and improving the company's system infrastructure. You will work closely with the R&D team to identify and resolve bugs, document processes, and serve as the primary technical contact for European and US teams. Responsibilities include designing, maintaining, and improving cloud infrastructure; developing and maintaining a robust monitoring and observability framework; managing and optimizing web servers, databases, and Linux systems; and collaborating with other teams to streamline workflows and troubleshoot issues. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud engineer role, experience with relational databases and Linux, and familiarity with AWS services, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes. The position offers remote work flexibility within Switzerland or on-site options in St. Gallen, along with various benefits.

Requirements

  • You have 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud engineer role – ideally in the SaaS space
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, including replication and performance tuning), and Linux (Amazon Linux/CentOS/RedHat). You’re also comfortable with web servers (Nginx)
  • You have worked with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Cloudfront or OpenSearch)
  • You’ve worked with Terraform in the past and can create infrastructure as code for scalable environments
  • You have knowledge and experience with Docker containerization, including container orchestration and management (e.g., Kubernetes or AWS ECS)
  • You have knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and have implemented automated build and deployment processes
  • You’ve worked cross-functionally with Developer Support and Deployment Support roles
  • You’re an IT generalist who’s comfortable shaping and defining the role with us
  • You have a strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog or Grafana)
  • You have experience applying SRE principles such as SLOs, and error budgets
  • You have worked with incident management processes, including conducting postmortems and driving improvements
  • You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced, distributed team environment
  • You speak English fluently

Responsibilities

  • Leverage your experience in DevOps to design, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure
  • Help develop and maintain a robust monitoring and observability framework to ensure system performance, reliability, and early issue detection
  • Manage and optimize web servers, relational databases, and Linux-based systems
  • Work with AWS services to build and maintain scalable and secure cloud-based solutions
  • Utilize expertise in Docker for containerization and manage orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or AWS ECS to ensure smooth deployment and scalability
  • Collaborate closely with Engineers, Deployment Support, and Security teams to streamline workflows, troubleshoot issues, and improve system deployment processes

Preferred Qualifications

You have knowledge of Puppet configuration management (Bonus)
