Summary
Join Raft, a customer-obsessed company focused on Distributed Data Systems, Platforms at Scale, and Complex Application Development, as a DevSecOps Engineer. You will architect, develop, and implement end-to-end application lifecycles with security integrated at every stage. Collaborate with clients to design and implement containerized solutions, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and automate infrastructure provisioning. Ensure compliance and best practices are followed throughout the development and deployment process. This U.S.-based position requires U.S. citizenship and is located in San Antonio, TX, with up to 10% travel. Raft offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant hands-on experience in DevOps or related field
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Docker, including provisioning production containerized environments and maintaining their security and compliance
- Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and GitLab Runners for deploying and managing ephemeral infrastructure and applications
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Proficient in scripting with Bash, Python, and PowerShell, enabling automation across Linux and Windows environments
- Proven ability to identify and address security vulnerabilities within infrastructure and application delivery pipelines
- Solid understanding of orchestration and automated deployment processes
- Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field โ or equivalent practical experience in DevOps or SRE roles
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and implement end-to-end application lifecycles with security integrated at every stage
- Collaborate closely with clients to design and implement containerized solutions
- Build robust CI/CD pipelines
- Automate infrastructure provisioning while ensuring compliance and best practices are followed throughout the development and deployment process
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building and managing VM templates with Packer for both hardware virtualization (e.g., VMware vSphere) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with multi-cloud operations, especially in environments supporting Azure and migrating workloads from AWS
- Understanding of ephemeral infrastructure patterns and automation for hybrid on-prem/cloud environments
- Experience managing system dependencies using tools like pip, apt, yum, or Chocolatey
- Exposure to hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) environments, with experience integrating infrastructure automation with physical systems
- Knowledge of container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift (a plus but not required)
