Summary

Join our multidisciplinary team as a part-time Dietitian and help deliver high-quality medical nutrition therapy to seniors in rural Minnesota and Michigan.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required
  • Licensed to practice in Minnesota, with licensure in Michigan as well preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in medical nutrition therapy, with a preference for candidates experienced in geriatric care
  • Experience working in rural healthcare settings is a plus
  • Strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Creative problem-solving abilities to develop patient-centered care plans that reflect the unique challenges of rural populations
  • Passion for improving the health and well-being of seniors, with a deep commitment to patient care

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized medical nutrition therapy to seniors in rural communities, helping them manage complex health conditions through tailored diet plans
  • Develop and implement nutrition care plans for patients with diverse health needs, working to optimize their diet and improve overall health outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary care
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on nutrition principles, diet modifications, and healthy lifestyle choices, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions, adjusting care plans as needed to ensure the best outcomes
  • Think creatively to solve challenges related to patients' access to resources in rural settings, finding practical solutions to improve their diet and quality of life
  • Stay up to date with the latest research and advancements in nutrition science, with a focus on geriatric care
  • Ensure all care documentation complies with regulatory and organizational standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in startups or fast-paced environments
  • Ability to 'think outside the box' and apply clinical knowledge in creative ways to drive meaningful lifestyle and diet changes
