Requirements

• Significant relevant experience in an editing role
• Strong news judgment across a range of subjects
• Proven record of editing quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent writing and copy editing skills
• Demonstrable knowledge of digital tools or applications including content management systems and editing assistance software
• Demonstrable knowledge of common IT tools such as the Microsoft suite

Responsibilities

• Work with editors and reporters in the creation of content , including using AI tools
• Assign stories as required
• Edit stories as required
• Write stories as required
• Provide feedback and guidance to reporters to improve standards
• Work with the SEO , Multimedia teams and others to optimize content
• Meet tight deadlines
• Perform any other reasonable duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business
