Summary

Join KnowBe4 as a Director of Account Executives (Mid Market) and lead a team of 8-12 sales professionals. You will manage and coach your team to exceed monthly sales quotas by focusing on new business and reactivating lapsed accounts. Responsibilities include monitoring team statistics, maintaining an accurate sales pipeline, and conducting weekly pipeline reviews. You will coach your team on closing deals, handling objections, and improving sales skills. Accurate reporting, workload prioritization, and identifying areas for improvement are also key. You will provide recommendations on hiring, firing, disciplining, and promoting team members. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, 2+ years of management experience, and a SaaS sales background.

  • Mastery of closing techniques, discovery questions, prospecting, building rapport and other key elements of the sales cycle

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coach a team of 8-12 Account Executives to develop a strong team of world class sales professionals
  • Monitor the statistics for the Account Executives within the assigned territory
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline for your team and conduct weekly pipeline reviews with all of your Account Executives to ensure forecast accuracy and sales goal achievement
  • Coach and support the Account Executives by assisting with closing deals by tags, handling customer objections, reactivating dark deals, and handling coaching plans and drilling as needed to improve skills
  • Maintain accurate reporting and pipeline management
  • Prioritize the workload and direct the activities of Account Executives
  • Identify areas of improvement and suggest/execute training and/or disciplinary actions to increase production
  • Be an expert on closing, negotiating, prospecting and other sales techniques that are necessary to be a top performer and consistently achieve sales quota
  • Handle day to day needs of the sales team they manage
  • Provide genuine recommendations  as to the hiring, firing, disciplining, and promoting of subordinate employees to which the organization gives significant weight

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • 2+ years management experience preferred
  • SaaS sales background preferred
  • Experience with Gmail and Google Docs
  • Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel)
  • Experience with web browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
