Requirements

  • At least 2 years of clinician/team management required; experience leading a clinician team with the goal of improved client outcomes
  • PsyD, PhD, LMFT, LPCC or LCSW required
  • Current active license required
  • Masterโ€™s Degree or higher from an accredited school of Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Marriage, or Family and Child Counseling
  • Must be registered with the applicable Board of Behavioral Science as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC
  • Required to maintain appropriate licensure through the applicable Board of Behavioral Science
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

  • Develops, coordinates, and implements systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring the achievement of goals and objectives
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects and initiatives within the team
  • Establish and monitor operational processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Streamline operational processes, enhance efficiency, and improve overall organizational performance
  • Implement best practices, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop strategies to achieve operational excellence
  • Ensures a safe, secure, and compliant work environment
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Build and manage a high-performing team, including hiring, training, and development
  • Provide leadership to the team, including setting goals, providing guidance, and ensuring the team's overall success
  • Set performance expectations and goals for team members. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address performance issues
  • Identify skill gaps within the team and develop strategies for filling those gaps. Support employee development through training, mentoring, and coaching. Identify high-potential employees and create succession plans
  • Building Culture and Community Team Leadership: Engaging in our โ€œOne Octaveโ€ community by leading a weekly case consultation group, supporting team members by providing feedback on performance, supporting your team by developing communication plans to share information across the organization
  • Recruitment: Lead hiring of the best-fit clinicians and being accountable for smooth onboarding; participating in interview panels for peer manager hires
  • Enterprise Collaboration: Supporting cross-functional work (e.g. DEI initiatives, product, marketing, clinical research projects), embodying the mission and vision of Octave
  • Learning & Development: Collaborating with other clinical leaders to develop team training opportunities, sourcing speakers and subject matter experts for continued learning
  • People Management Equitably lead and retain the best providers, with the objective of building a diverse and inclusive team
  • Monitor clinician schedules for full utilization, lean in to understand clinical caseload risks (including burnout prevention), manage PTO, sick days, CEUs in service of career development, management of caseload, and facilitation of employee engagement
  • Ensure clinician compliance with regulations, safety protocols, documentation standards
  • Adherence to best practices based on the licensure of your team
  • Meeting 1-on-1 as needed with clinicians to discuss cases, content, performance and provide career development and performance feedback
  • Point-person for clinical issues related to risk/legal/limits of Octave services
  • Leading team meetings for collaboration between clinicians and other parts of the company. Facilitate flow of communication from team level to other parts of the company
  • Conduct Assessments: Perform comprehensive assessments to understand clients' psychological and emotional needs, including gathering information about their background, medical history, and presenting issues
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Create individualized treatment plans with measurable goals that align with clients' needs and therapeutic objectives
  • Provide Therapy: Deliver evidence-based therapy interventions. Engage clients in a therapeutic process that fosters self-awareness, resilience, and positive change
  • Monitor Progress: Track client progress using standardized measures such as the PHQ9 and GAD7,and adjust treatment plans as needed to meet evolving needs and goals, providing feedback and encouragement
  • Crisis Intervention: Respond to clients in crisis, using de-escalation techniques and assessing safety risks, with follow-up action as necessary
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, case managers, and primary care providers, to provide comprehensive care and coordinate treatment
  • Document Sessions: Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards
  • Stay Informed on Best Practices: Keep up-to-date on current research, treatment methods, and clinical best practices to ensure high-quality care
  • Participate in Supervision and Training: Attend regular supervision sessions, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and remain compliant with licensing requirements
  • Assignment Participation: Complete weekly administrative tasks including attendance of team/manager meetings, contribution to company initiatives such as Quality Assurance (QA) note review, and special projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of related post-license clinical experience preferred
  • Experience with Measurement-based Care
