Summary

Workleap is seeking a Director, Corporate Controller to lead their accounting and financial reporting activities. The role involves contributing to the strategic direction of the company, ensuring financial integrity, compliance with regulations, and optimizing processes. The ideal candidate should have a CPA certification, 10+ years of experience in complex accounting, knowledge of IFRS and ASPE, proven leadership skills, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to drive process improvements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in complex accounting

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the company’s accounting function
• Ensure the preparation and delivery of financial statements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Optimize and automate accounting processes
• Deliver comprehensive internal controls through analysis, continual improvement, and formulation of remediation plans when deficiencies are noted
• Lead audits with external auditors, including addressing any audit findings and implementation of corrective actions as needed
• Ability to lead multiple remote teams effectively
• Participate in the global revenue recognition review
• Achieve the days-to-close targets through direct oversight of the monthly close process

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and ASPE
• Successful experience as a Corporate Controller
• Proven leadership, effective communication, and team management skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Interest in addressing business and accounting issues
• Ability to make decisions, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
