Corporate Development and Ventures Director

Summary

Circle is a financial technology company looking for an experienced Ecosystem Director to develop and execute strategies for building, managing, and growing their partner ecosystem. The candidate will work closely with internal teams and external partners to expand market reach and enhance partners' value through strategic alliances and collaborations. They will be responsible for gathering intelligence from various sources, advising leadership on partnering decisions, delivering best-in-class deal execution, and managing engagement and programs for portfolio investments.

Requirements

• 12+ years of relevant experience, including ecosystem and partner development, partner marketing, business development, venture investing, or management consulting
• Demonstrated success in developing and driving partner ecosystems in blockchain/Web3
• Excellent intrinsic capabilities, including strong quantitative and analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong executive presence, high motivation, low ego, deep intellectual curiosity
• Ability to build relationships (internally and externally), lead projects/deals, prioritize opportunities in a rapid-paced corporate and industry environment
• Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS, and GSuite
• Bachelor’s degree required with an Economics, Finance, Business, Technology or related discipline preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to build, manage, and grow Circle's partner ecosystem
• Expand market reach and enhance partners’ value through strategic alliances and collaborations
• Be the ‘face’ of Circle Ventures and drive broad engagement and win-win activation with ecosystem partners
• Hunt for signals amongst the noise to deliver insights, deals, and alignment towards priorities
• Advise through excellent business judgment to enable leadership to make informed partnering, product, and investment decisions
• Deliver best-in-class deal execution, aligning the organization towards objectives
• Manage engagement and programs for Circle's portfolio of investments
• Lead external and internal comms for Circle Ventures
• Meet regularly with ecosystem participants to build key relationships and influence
• Build ‘intelligence’ to deliver ecosystem insights to internal audiences
• Look for investment and partnership opportunities, potential competitive threats, and key industry trends/themes
• Evangelize USDC and Circle’s presence within the broader VC ecosystem
• Develop a robust understanding of the landscape, dynamics, and trends in which we operate (financial services/technology and crypto industries)

Benefits

• Base Pay Range: $207,500 – $240,000
• Annual Bonus Target: 20%
