Summary

Join Singular Genomics as the Director, Information Security, supporting the internal IT team and mission-critical infrastructure. You will execute and lead full audit programs, manage information security platforms, and roll out security programs for R&D groups. This role requires establishing documentation principles, serving as the IT lead for regulatory guidance, and leading audit readiness exercises. You will also maintain security stack systems and support IT operations. The position reports to the SVP, IT & InfoSec and may be local, hybrid, or remote. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years managing Office 365 & GSuite administration, litigation holds and related data security investigation tools
  • 6+ years implementing, designing and proposing security platforms, SaaS products and similar
  • 4+ years acting as a SOC lead for the organization including training staff and responding to security incidents
  • 5+ years managing disaster recovery solutions in both on-prem and hybrid cloud operations
  • 5+ years demonstrated hands-on managing, engineering & change management ability
  • Team-oriented mentality
  • 5+ years Microsoft AzureAD/Domain ADFS system knowledge, engineering and maintenance
  • 6+ years’ experience managing IT projects using tools such as Atlassian Suite/Jira, Monday, Microsoft Project and similar platforms
  • 5+ years IT audit experience including regulatory compliance modeling ahead of organizational needs
  • 6+ years Cisco network asset experience such as Meraki, Catalyst or other similar platforms
  • 6+ years’ experience with Hypervisors such as VMWare stack, Nutanix, Azure/Cloud Hyper V solutions

Responsibilities

  • Serve with resourcefulness, critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude
  • Execute, lead and augment full audit programs and both internal and external assessments
  • Apply excellent working knowledge and hands-on experience with managing information security platforms within computer systems, servers, network, system administration, database and data storage systems
  • Roll out and advise on information security programs for R&D groups such as laboratory operations, clinical and other mission critical business units
  • Establish well rounded documentation principles, polices and SOPs as directed while collaborating with business unit leaders to ensure a culture of security among all operations
  • Serve as the IT lead for regulatory guidance applications within NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO and related security postures
  • Lead audit readiness exercises to ensure IT accelerates ahead of the business needs
  • Develop and establish competency around ISO/SOC/SOC2 certifications as need be
  • Ensure and maintain technology compliance with GxP/GMP, CLIA and CAPA laboratory security standards
  • Execute and maintain change management processes enterprise wide
  • Maintain, mange and administer all security stack systems such as email gateway, SSO/SAML, endpoint security platform, certificate generation & cryptography, directory and other in scope platforms
  • Support as needed, IT operations including user experience, asset management etc

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with laboratory/diagnostic company/life science growth and expansion both in the US and global
  • Familiarity and/or prior experience with business operations activity such as procurement, facilities and R&D Ops
  • Background in IT system engineering, software development or security engineering
  • Knowledge and application of scripting within multi-os platforms such as Windows, Mac, Linux/Unix and SAN platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of storage systems such as SAN/NAS and cloud connect platforms
  • Expertise reviewing and documenting SOP’s, policies and knowledge base articles
  • Expertise conducting and history of successful ISO27001, SOC or other related security inspections
