Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law
- Barreau du QuΓ©bec or another Canadian province
- 8 years' experience in contract and business law
- Experience in negotiating and drafting commercial agreements, particularly in technology law, cybersecurity/privacy law, consumer protection, regulatory law, etc
- Excellent ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with multidisciplinary functions
- Autonomous, resourceful and organized
- Demonstrate rigor, commitment, curiosity and proactivity
- Ability to identify risks promptly and adapt to unforeseen circumstances
- Comfortable working with high levels of pressure and able to make decisions quickly when required
- Creative and able to propose legal business solutions that support the company's growth
- Be motivated and passionate about excellence, innovation and contributing to the company's growth and success
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English (written/verbal). Frequent communication outside Quebec
Responsibilities
- Support VOSKER's various departments by providing strategic and business-oriented advice to help the company achieve its growth objectives
- Draft, negotiate and review a wide variety of commercial contracts and other legal documents, relating to IT, sales, marketing, procurement, etc., and update existing contract templates
- Identify legal and business risks for innovative projects and collaborate with stakeholders from different functions to minimize these risks
- Support the company in its compliance with applicable international laws and regulations, particularly regarding the protection and confidentiality of personal data
- Act as legal lead in the company's growth projects and initiatives
- Participate in interdisciplinary governance meetings and advise business partners in the various functions (Security Committee, ESG Committee, Transversal Governance Committee, etc.)
- Develop internal and external corporate governance policies and processes
- Improve interdepartmental processes for collaborative contract management and increased efficiency of the legal department
- Support the legal team by demonstrating rigor, curiosity and creativity as a business partner
