Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data science, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall data science strategy aligned with the companyโ€™s objectives
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
  • Be able to dive deep into the data science details and pair with the data scientists as needed to help unblock their research
  • Build a culture that fosters the use of โ€œGenerative AIโ€ across R&D
  • Oversee the development and implementation of advanced analytical models, algorithms, and predictive analytics to solve complex business problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and marketing, to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business growth
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of all data science deliverables
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies, and evaluate their potential application within the organization
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in data science, including coding standards, model development, and validation techniques
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, and experience with data science tools and frameworks
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
