Remote Director, Data Science (Revenue Analytics)

Summary

Join Whatnot, the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe, as a Revenue Analytics team lead to drive top and bottom line revenue growth. You will build a team roadmap, spearhead strategic data-driven vision, own report building, and act as a cross-functional leader guiding key decision-making on high-value initiatives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in the Data Analytics field
• 4+ years of experience in a data leadership role
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills to stakeholders, leadership, and investors
• Demonstrated history of knowledge in Business Analysis, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related technical fields
• Industry experience with proven ability to apply scientific methods to solve real-world problems on large-scale data
• Proven track record of building and leading data science teams supporting International Expansion, Go To Market, Marketing, Finance, or Operations teams
• Ability to lead initiatives across multiple product areas and communicate findings with leadership and stakeholders
• Comfortability with data warehouses and big data technologies such as Redshift, Snowflake, Big Query, Presto, Athena, Spark, DBT
• Expert in using SQL for data analysis, reporting, and dashboarding

Responsibilities

• Hire and lead the Revenue Analytics team focused on growing top and bottom line revenue
• Build team roadmap to capture, analyze, and drive data-driven decisions across core functions of the business and executive leadership
• Spearhead the strategic data-driven vision that captures billion-dollar GMV opportunities
• Own report building, insights generation, and data-informed recommendations
• Organize and shape the collective understanding of business health and opportunities through various data sources both internal and external
• Act as cross-functional leader guiding key decision-making on high-value initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with a scripting language such as Python or R is a plus
