Summary
Join CloudTalk as their Director of Engineering and lead their team of 30 engineers in building and optimizing their AI-powered business communication platform. Requirements
- Have experience leading Eastern European (preferably Czech & Slovak) engineering teams in a fast-paced environment and a proven track record of scaling products
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to attract, engage, and develop top talent
- Have the ability to tackle tough people, teams, and department challenges in a way that boosts overall engagement
- Possess a collaborative spirit and an understanding of the challenges faced by global and remote teams
- Reside in or be willing to relocate to Czechia/Slovakia
Responsibilities
- Shape Technical Strategy: Define and execute a roadmap that supports our growth from β¬10m to β¬100m ARR
- People Management: Empower and inspire a high-performing team of mid-to-senior engineers, managers, and tech leads
- Drive Innovation: Lead the development of cutting-edge AI features and integrations across desktop and mobile platforms
- Process Improvement: Continuously improve our engineering processes, driving efficiency and scalability
- Security & Compliance: Ensure that security is at the forefront of all engineering efforts, with a proactive approach to addressing vulnerabilities and regulatory compliance. Establish processes for monitoring, logging, and incident management that adhere to industry best practices and regulatory standards
- C-level engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with C-level executives across the organization, gaining a deep understanding of their business goals and aligning solutions accordingly
- Interpersonal Excellence: Excel at building and nurturing relationships. Your ability to communicate effectively, empathize with team members and other stakeholders, and navigate complex interpersonal situations will be paramount
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven Leadership: You have successfully managed and scaled engineering teams, particularly in fast-paced and high-growth environments
- Technical Expertise: You're well-versed in developing AI-powered solutions, APIs, and integrations, and you're passionate about driving technical innovation
- Strategic Vision: You can align technical roadmaps with business objectives and help scale a product from tens to hundreds of millions in ARR
- Collaboration & Communication: You thrive in cross-functional environments and are skilled at building strong relationships with C-level stakeholders and diverse teams
