Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years as a Solution Consultant OR 5+ years in a Professional Services/Consulting role that is client-facing and involves sales scenarios in a SaaS organization. Retail software experience is an asset
  • Able to do custom POCs and demos
  • The ability to strategically problem solves by thinking outside of the box is required daily
  • Technical depth to respond to all functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Proven success conveying customer requirements to Product Management teams
  • Familiarity in cloud environments and hosting providers (Microsoft Azure)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, customer interaction, requirements analysis, presentations, and system design
  • Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences, whether informal or using presentations and demos
  • Broad range of experience within large-scale analytics and cloud technologies
  • Ability to connect a customer’s specific business problems and Upshop solutions

Responsibilities

  • Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Upshop technology throughout the sales cycle – from demo to proof of concept to design
  • Support Sales during sales cycle to achieve defined sales goals
  • Participating in assessments and collection of technical data
  • Setup and execute lead discovery calls with prospects
  • Market research and identify new sales opportunities/markets/verticals
  • Immerse yourself in the ever-evolving industry, maintaining a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors and how to position Upshop in relation to them
  • Build relationships with opportunity channel partners to enable collaboration
  • Provide ongoing deal support which includes objection management and handoff to services
  • Developing and delivering training to the Sales team and other groups regarding current technology trends, cloud technology fundamentals and new service offerings
  • Present technical and business aspects of proposed solutions to a C-Level audience
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Upshop products
  • Represent Upshop's products to customers and at field events such as conferences, summits, seminars, etc
  • Learn and advise on the Upshop cloud architecture and services
  • Propose technical and creative business solutions in support of sales activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within retail, preferably grocery and/or food & beverage
  • Experience with inventory, supply chain, and retail operations
  • Experience with SaaS technology solutions in a consultative sales and/or product role
