Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, demonstrating skills in managing complex data systems
  • Strong technical understanding of data integration platforms, APIs, and third-party services
  • Familiar with best practices and emerging technologies around AI data classification and enrichment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about scaling complex systems and improving user experience
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders without direct authority. Able to collaborate effectively with engineering, design, and other product teams
  • A hands-on, results-oriented approach with a proven track record of driving successful product initiatives in a startup or fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in an environment with a large number of 3rd party data integrations
  • Strong technical background. Must be familiar with APIs, data pipelines, and data architecture
  • Product management experience. Must be able to clearly define a problem, articulate a solution, and lead a team to deliver a solution that meets customers needs
  • High creativity and problem solving skills. Must be able to start with the customer experience and “work backwards” to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Knowledge of frontend user journey and UX principles, important for creating an engaging and intuitive user experience
  • Experience with AI and data tools for effective categorization and problem-solving, in line with our aim to provide clarity and control over personal finances

Responsibilities

  • Drive Aggregation Product Strategy: Frame the problem, the strategy, and decide how success should be measured
  • Execution & Roadmap Ownership: Lead the execution of the product roadmap for aggregation, focusing on enhancing the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our financial data integrations. Define milestones, prioritize initiatives, and ensure successful delivery which can be measured
  • Partnership Management: Manage and build relationships with key data providers like Plaid, Finicity, and MX. Ensure smooth integrations and high connection success rates ensuring efficient and reliable data aggregation. Evaluate and integrate new partners as warranted
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, design, data science, and other product teams to define requirements, clarify technical constraints, and ensure alignment on goals. Be the go-to expert for all things related to financial data aggregation
  • AI & Innovation: Decide how we will incorporate innovations in AI to help solve this problem
  • Ownership of KPIs: Take responsibility for key product metrics (e.g., connection success rates, data quality, system performance) and continuously optimize performance. Track progress, identify gaps, and develop data-driven solutions to improve aggregation systems
  • Optimize for Scalability: Work closely with engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and ensure the platform scales effectively as Monarch Money grows. Ensure the aggregation platform can support increasing user demand while maintaining data accuracy and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with financial APIs such as Plaid, Finicity, or MX is a strong plus
