Summary
Join BackerKit as their Director of Sales and lead their sales team to achieve ambitious revenue targets. You will develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and define commission/incentive programs. The role requires experience in sales leadership, particularly within tech or SaaS, and a proven track record of building high-performing teams. You will be responsible for setting quarterly revenue targets, tracking sales performance, and attending industry events. Requirements
- Experience in a sales leadership role, ideally within a tech or SaaS company, encompassing both B2B and B2C domains (knowledge in crowdfunding / creator economy is a plus!)
- Strong success in recruiting, coaching, and scaling high-performing sales teams
- Experience with product launches, channel strategies, and territory planning; comfortable experimenting and testing new ideas
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills - you will be the face of the sales team when presenting at company town halls
- Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions
- Exceptional negotiation skills for closing deals and winning customers
- Scrappiness and agility - comfortable with startup environment, and if something needs doing, you do your best to get it done and are willing to wear multiple hats

Responsibilities
- Manage, coach and mentor a high-performing sales team (account executives and sales operations)
- Work with the COO to set quarterly revenue targets, ensure the sales team is aligned, and lead them to achieve their targets
- Develop and execute a comprehensive GTM strategy that includes expanding the existing customer base, exploring new verticals, generating new business, and creating targeted plans to capture them
- Work with leadership to develop and adjust competitive and sustainable pricing strategies to ensure alignment with market trends, customer needs, and business objectives
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop compelling value propositions, leveraging your understanding of customer pain points and how our products and services can effectively address them to drive sales
- Define and oversee commission/incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their targets
- Track sales performance against targets and monitor all revenue-driving metrics, providing weekly updates to the leadership team and at the company level as needed
- Attend conferences, conventions, and events as needed to build and strengthen relationships with customers and partners in the space, gain insights, and help drive new business opportunities
