Requirements
- 10+ years of development experience in software development
- You have built and managed multiple teams that regularly created high-quality output on top of critical infrastructure
- You are a creative, tenacious problem solver with a get-it-done attitude
- You can work comfortably with a cross-functional team made up of PMs, Analysts, and both mobile and back-end-focused engineers
- You tend to be the standard bearer who takes a great deal of pride in your work and can inspire others to rise to the occasion
- You can create and maintain a positive, healthy team environment in which everyone is supported, encouraged, and meaningfully challenged to do great work
- You are a software engineer who became a manager because you are great with people, and you want to expand what you can achieve while helping others grow in their careers
- You are ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work on technical challenges
Responsibilities
- Work with the leadership across EarnIn to deliver our mission: build a financial system that works for everyday people
- Be a strong partner to product and other engineering teams to drive improvements to business metrics around growing our user base and building new features. Examples include improving top-of-the-funnel visitor metrics, user activation rates, user acquisition metrics, cross and upselling products, and improving user experience
- Create a roadmap and drive its implementation with your teams across the company
- Dig into the code when required! You should be technical enough to help your team with issues requiring senior guidance
- Recruit other great engineers for your team and help in the recruiting efforts for other teams
- Be a mentor and coach for the engineers and managers in your team, and help them advance their careers by enabling them to do the best work of their lives
- Manage cross-functional relationships with all teams to deliver high-quality products
- Support the team in maintaining a robust level of stability while continuing to execute at great speeds
- Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives at EarnIn
